about
About Range42
Open-source infrastructure for building real cybersecurity training environments.
The Project
Range42 was created at the National Cybersecurity Competence Center (NC3), part of the Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity in partnership with DIGISQUAD . The goal was simple: make it practical for any security team to spin up a realistic, reproducible training environment without spending weeks on infrastructure setup.
Built on Proxmox and Ansible, Range42 provisions entire lab environments from a single command or a visual interface. Everything is infrastructure-as-code — versioned, shareable, and tear-down-and-rebuild at will.
The project is released under GPL-3.0 and developed in accordance with the Public Money, Public Code initiative — publicly funded tools should be freely available to everyone.
